"Best Window Cleaner in Welland"
Having crystal clear windows keeps your home bright and pleasant, but climbing ladders to reach the 2nd or 3rd story poses real risks for the average homeowner. Let us remove the dirt and the danger so that your windows shine!
Some people choose to wait until they notice that their windows are dirty, while others opt to get them cleaned on a specific schedule. For example I (the owner of Blue Wave) choose to wash my windows about 4 times per year based on the area I'm in, and my wife's preferences. Either way, Blue Wave is there to help you with both one time, and recurring window washing.
FAQ
Yes! We're happy to clean most interior or exterior windows so long as they are accessible.
We have invested in a state of the art 3 stage water filtration system that makes totally pure water, measured to have 0PPM of suspended solids. This means that there are no minerals, chlorine, etc. so it leaves no spots or streaks. This also allows us to reach windows that would normally be inaccessible (e.g. a skylight or dormer window projecting out of a steep roof) and often removes the need to place ladders against your house.
We, of course also have traditional squeegees.
Yes, we can provide you with a post construction/reno cleanup. Please just let us know that this is what you want when requesting your quote so that we can schedule in enough time to do a good job.
We offer a range of services that improve the appearance of windows, frames, screens, etc. An exterior window cleaning by itself includes cleaning of the glass, but we also offer (by request):
Screen Cleaning: Removal of your window screens and scrubbing/rinsing both sides.
Screen Repairs: If your screens have holes/tears, we can install a new sheet of screen material.
Window Frame Cleaning: Removal of dirt, dust, algae, etc. via softwashing
Paint Scraping: Using special scraping tools to remove paint drips/overspray from your window panes.
Though we're not experts in the construction of windows, we have had enough clients ask this question that we have reached out to a window repair/installation company to ask for their opinion. What they told us was:
The lifespan of a double pane window is about 25 years (less for ones with a wooden frame, and more for ones made of fiberglass). After that, the seals start to break down letting the inert gas out, greatly reducing their insulating properties, and letting moisture in.
There are some companies that will remove moisture from inside of your windows by drilling holes in the frame then using a dessicant. This improves their appearance but not their insulating properties.
Replacing your windows will resolve the issue entirely, but is quite expensive.
For a less expensive option, you can just get the sealed glass unit replaced without installing new frames, tracks, hinges, etc. This should cost less than half as much as replacing the window.
*Please note that we do not offer any of the described services.
If they're hinged for access, we certainly can, but if they're screwed in place, we generally can't. Unscrewing, removing, and replacing the windows just poses too much risk of damage (In the past, we've found that many of these storm windows have become stuck due to paint, draft barriers, or the house settling and require large amounts of force to be removed).
