FAQ
Are there limits to what pressure washing can remove?
Yes, pressure washing won't perfectly and uniformly remove certain stains or finishes like paint, sealant, concrete tint, certain weed killers/pesticides, etc.
Oil Stains: Pressure washing/degreasers can minimize the appearance of oil stains, but will not remove them entirely. This is because concrete is porous and sucks up oil, which can penetrate down quite far. The same is true of asphalt driveways, except they are quite soft, and made out of petroleum products, so excessive pressure washing or the use of strong de-greasers can damage them, making them even more difficult to clean. for this reason we do not offer oil stain removal from asphalt.
Hard/durable surfaces without coatings can be pressure washed. Generally its safe to pressure wash concrete, pavers, most stone, and brick (assuming that the moarter can tollerate it). With caution, some metals can be pressure washed assuming that their coating hasn't broken down. Certain types of wood will tolerate medium levels of pressure. If you're unsure, feel free to ask.
Not so long as the concrete is over 2 years old, and is in good shape structurally. Recently poured concrete has a "creme coat" that can be damaged by high pressure.
Yes, but not uniformly. This means that while pressure washing may flake or damage some types of paints or coatings, it cannot be used to uniformly strip them. These surfaces can still be washed, but might require softwashing as opposed to pressure washing.
